Christmas Fern



Native fern has shiny evergreen fronds. One of the first out in the spring.

Part shade-shade, 24" high.

Very deer resistant.


Japanese Painted Fern



Demure fern with 15" long fronds "painted" with a mixture of blue, gray and burgundy. Best in light shade with moist but not wet soil.

Part shade, 18" high.

Very deer resistant.


Lady Fern



This native fern has a lacy, delicate appearance. It can tolerate sun if the soil is moist, but it prefers shade. It is an easy care fern and can be used to fill the forest floor, especially in areas taken over by garlic mustard and poison ivy.

Part shade-shade, 2-3 Feet high.

Very deer resistant.


Ostrich Fern



This big bold native fern has large fronds resembling ostrich plumes. It spreads quickly by underground runners and it very adaptable and hardy.

Shade-part shade, 48" high.

Korean Reed Grass
The ornamental seed heads persist throughout the winter. The plant is adaptable and low maintenance.

Sun-part shade, 48" high, pink plumes, August-winter.

Variegated Palm Sedge
Green leaves with yellow edge. Thrives in open woods or woodland edge. Can grow in shallow water.

Flame Grass
Green in summer, red in mid summer, deep burgundy in fall.
