Lake County Cooling Centers

Extreme heat is expected over the next few days and many local jurisdictions have opened cooling centers to provide a safe place for residents to get out of the heat.

For the list of cooling centers, please visit www.lakecountyil.gov. This list may change as more centers are opened, so please check this site frequently. (Please note: These centers are not shelters. Food, showers, and beds are not available).
